The Department of Health and Human Services dropped a new batch of data sorting active cases by postcodes yesterday. It is the second time such detailed reports have been released in a week.

The data has since been collated and displayed by volunteer-run website 'COVID Live'.

A state government spokesperson previously confirmed to the Mail-Times that the data was accurate.

The updated data shows there are two active cases in Horsham, within the postcode of 3400. There were four active cases reported in last week's data.

Two active cases remain in 3401 - an area stretching from as high as Wallup to as low as Rocklands Reservoir, including Pimpinio, Longerenong, Jung, Quantong and Telangatuk.

3409 - a postcode further west including Arapiles, Natimuk and Noradjuha - had one active case.

One active case remains in the 3418 postcode - which encompasses Nhill, Gerang Gerung, Lawloit, Kiata and Yanac.

Two new active cases have been reported in the broad 3377 postcode, which covers Ararat, Armstrong, Dobie, Moyston and Warrak among other smaller communities.

COVID-19 UPDATE:

In good news, the new data shows one person has recovered from COVID-19 in Stawell.

The data is broken down by a person's registered residence, not where they were infected or where they are currently living.

Previously, the DHHS only revealed infections by local government areas.

Yesterday's release stated there were five active cases in the Horsham Rural City Council area.

There were two active cases in the West Wimmera shire and one active case in Ararat.

There were no active cases reported for the Northern Grampians, Hindmarsh and Yarriambiack shires.
