Ms Viturino and Mr Canning confessed their love for one another, sharing promise rings during Sunday night's finale episode.
"It was so hard to keep it a secret, I have been staying low and keeping inside as much as possible," Ms Viturino said.
"Once you have a relationship you just want to tell your family and friends ... I had to bite my tongue so many times."

Months after the season's filming ended, Ms Viturino tried a long-distance relationship with Mr Canning and has since moved to his hometown in Hobart with her six-year-old daughter Chanel.
"I was scared at first because it's very easy to get caught up in the TV show bubble, but it was easy for us transitioning to real life," she said.
"We spent a lot of time together on Bachelor in Paradise so we got to know each other pretty well.
"I had been looking to move for a while, and when Conor asked me to live with him in Hobart it was an easy decision for me.
"I previously lived in a small country town but I also love being around the city, so Tasmania was the perfect combination."
Ms Viturino said Chanel had adjusted well to living in Hobart and joined a soccer team.
"Of course she misses her friend's back in Victoria but now is the right age for her to move," she said.
"It is a beautiful place so it's not hard to get used to. We have loved seeing Hobart's beaches and mountains."
She said her favourite moment on Bachelor in Paradise was her first date and saying the 'L word' to Mr Canning.
"Our date was so romantic and it had such a beautiful setting," Ms Viturino said.
"The last two episodes I cried, it was beautiful to watch back.
"I have loved my journey. I started off as sassy Mary and now I have found love with Conor."
The pair have been dating for nine months and are already planning to take the next step.
"The future is looking bright ... I got myself a job in administration and we are looking for a bigger house," she said.
"We'd love to get a bigger space with a backyard that's not too far from Chanel's school."
