Even when it hasn't been easy. You have looked after your neighbour.

You have supported local business.

You haven't made life difficult just because someone thought differently to you.

Well, okay, there might be a few examples where that has happened, but fear does strange things to us sometimes, doesn't it?

I know that we aren't through this yet. I am not naive enough to to think we will all come out unscathed.

I have sat with people who are grieving and uncertain.

I have sat with people who have experienced death and have felt the disconnection from loved ones in care.

I am not wanting to be dismissive of our circumstances or the challenges to come.

I am not seeking to make light of the prospect of increase of mental health issues, suicides or domestic violence.

There will be more challenges to come.

I think 'returning to normal' will have as many shocks as we come to grips with the small changes as organisations adapt, adjust, pivot or any other change word you want to use.

For the most part, I have seen and experienced a community seeking to encourage one another.

That is, to give courage to one another.

I have seen a community looking out for the needs of one another.

Yes, there have been annoyances and glitches.

There have been disagreements and frustrations, but overall, you have been a beautiful expression of life, love and hope.

If you don't agree, haven't experienced this or haven't been an expression of this, that's okay.

There is another opportunity today, as there will be tomorrow and the day after that ...
