The Burras came out on top in an online poll that received nearly 95,000 votes, beating out the Tungamah Bears in the final round to win the title.

Minyip-Murtoa president Scott Arnold was told the result live on air with the Coodabeen Champions on ABC Radio this morning.

Mr Arnold said the competition had been a great way to keep people engaged with the club during the lockdown period.

"It was a good bit of fun," Mr Arnold said.

"It's been a good distraction when there's not much else going on to keep people engaged.

"I'm just happy ... that all our members and supporters are engaged with the club and enjoying the sense of community we've tried to maintain.

"We've been quite active on our Facebook page all the way through this period to give our sponsors some exposure and keep people engaged. This is a good part of that."

The unique guernsey was designed in 1995 after the Minyip Blues and Murtoa Magpies merged.

It is an amalgamation of the two old guernseys, with the Blues represented on the top half, and the prison-bar Magpie design on the bottom half.

"Originally I think it might have been Peter Baker and 'Dasher' Milgate who helped with the design," Mr Arnold said.
