A Kaniva man has crashed a car into a pergola and fence in two separate collisions at Bordertown overnight on Friday.

Police on patrol in Bordertown heard a car doing burnouts and the sound of a crash about 11.30pm.
The patrol located accident damage to the pergola of a cafe in Scott Street, Bordertown and saw a silver sedan take off erratically down the street.

Police received another call just before 6am Saturday morning to report a car had crashed into a paddock fence on Tatiara Road, Bordertown sometime overnight. The driver was asleep in the back seat.
The driver recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.111.
He was arrested and charged with aggravated due care, property damage, leave scene of crash, misuse of a motor vehicle, manner dangerous, drink driving and breaching cross border community restrictions.
He has lost his licence immediately for six months and his car was impounded for 28 days.
He was bailed to appear in the Bordertown Magistrates Court on October 29.
