Wes Davidson Real Estate agent Rob Dolan said it was a "once in a lifetime opportunity" to secure residential land this big in the heart of town.
"I have never sold a bowling green in my history of real estate since I started in 1993," he said.
"Horsham City Bowling Club is doing a two-lot subdivision. They are selling lot one off, which is 1657 square meters.
"Lot two, which is 7041sqm, will remain to be the club house and the three other bowling grounds."

Mr Dolan said the majority of interested buyers would-be developers.
"The most sought after buyer will be a person wanting to do a unit development of some sort, where they will try and get four units in at least," he said.
"Other interested buyers would two families who want a really nice central home-site in the centre of town and build a two-lot subdivision.
"People could cut it up into two house blocks and they would end up with a block each of 828sqm.
"It also could be a potential motel spot or short stay accommodation ... they can rent it out and build it out as a complex.
"There are a range of different buyers."
Horsham City Bowling Club treasurer Ron Goudie said it was the first time the club had put a bowling green up for sale, since forming in 1909.
"Around 40 years ago they put in four grass greens," he said.
"Seven years ago we put in a new synthetic green and early this year we put in a second synthetic green, so we still have three bowling greens.
"With grass greens, you tend to have one out of action all the time ... so the club at their last annual meeting decided to sell the one on the northern side of the club house. It hasn't been used for some time."
All buyers would need to obtain a planning permit from the Horsham Rural City Council.
Tenders close at 12pm on October 20.
