Jessica Williams, also known as Wojciechowski, 25, of Ballarat, pleaded guilty in Warrnambool Magistrates Court to offences, including drug trafficking and possessing proceeds of crime.

Lawyer Jess Dean said her client was relatively new to drugs and that she began trafficking in order to support her own habit, but soon "got herself in too deep".

"Then it became something that was working," she said.

"She felt like she had autonomy in her life, that she was able to do something that she felt was good and she had control over."

Ms Dean said Williams spent 10 years of her life with a partner that was 17 years her senior.

She said she started that relationship when she was 15 and he 31.

Ms Dean said the relationship was toxic and "incredibly influential over her late teens and the usual development that occurs in ones life".

She said when Williams escaped the relationship, she moved in with a drug user and she started using drugs "primarily to deal with what she had experienced over the 10 years priors".

Magistrate Mark Stratmann noted Williams did not have a criminal history and ordered her to be assessed for a corrections order.

Williams will be sentenced on Wednesday.

She remains on remand.

The court heard she was arrested on July 20 after she and co-accused Barry Hollis, 43, also of Ballarat, were observed leaving a known drug trafficker's house in Hamilton about 7.45pm.

The pair was intercepted by police and uncooperative when questioned.

When asked to exit the vehicle, Mr Hollis allegedly locked the car and threw the keys onto the roof of a nearby house.

Police believed the keys were thrown in order to prevent officers from searching the car.

CFA attended, located the keys on the roof and the vehicle was subsequently searched.

Inside the car was a blue box containing 9.5 grams of methamphetamine, a large knife, $970 cash and a small quantity of prescription drug Suboxone.

The court heard the 9.5 grams of ice was separated into six individual zip lock bags, including five that were weighed out as 1.75 grams - commonly referred to as half an eight ball.

The court heard the drugs had an estimated street value of $9000.

The pair was arrested, interviewed, charged and remanded in custody.

A search of William's handbag uncovered one gram of ice, 10 Valium tablets and hundreds of unused deal bags.

The court heard analysis of her mobile phone allegedly uncovered a large number of texts depicting her trafficking ice, GHB and MDMA, as well as being in possession of up to $20,000 cash.

One text message showed four bags of methamphetamine, which Williams referred to as "beautiful candy".

Another text message sent from her phone said: "I'm supplying all of Ballarat, half of Melbourne, Horsham, Warrnambool and Hamilton. I'm on my A-game."

Williams also pleaded guilty to criminal damage after she broke a window at the home of her ex partner.
