The 34-year-old man was charged with carjacking, robbery, possession of methylamphetamine, theft of motor vehicle, and assault-related offences on Tuesday.
The alleged carjacking incident occurred on Forsyth Avenue in Horsham at about 12.20am on Saturday morning.
Police took the man into custody on Monday after executing two search warrants.
He has been remanded to appear at Horsham Magistrates' Court on October 5.
A 29-year-old man was also questioned in regard to the incident. He was later released, pending further inquiries.
The investigation is ongoing.
