Ben Fraser has been appointed editor of the Wimmera Mail-Times, Ararat Advertiser and Stawell Times-News.
Mr Fraser joined the mastheads in March, having worked as an award-winning reporter and chief of staff for the Portland Observer and Guardian for more than five years.
He is a graduate of the Great South Coast Leadership Program, a former teacher, a representative hockey player and coach, and has a strong passion for regional Victoria.
Regional editor Peter Kennedy said Mr Fraser brought a strong set of skills and experience to the role.
"Ben is a fiercely proud and dedicated journalist with a strong background in building relationships with the community," Mr Kennedy said.
"I am confident he will serve readers of the Wimmera Mail-Times, Ararat Advertiser and Stawell Times-News well."
Mr Fraser said he looked forward to his new role, and was keen to ensure the stories of the region and its people continued to be told online and in print.
"I'm passionate about this area and proud to join such a talented team dedicated to their community and these great mastheads," he said.
"I'm looking forward to hearing from our loyal audiences and advertisers about how we can continue to improve and meet their needs."
