The former West Coast Eagle and Gold Coast Sun has joined Peel Thunder as the club's general manager of football operations.
Rosa was drafted by West Coast in 2004 and played for the Thunder the next season, before earning the first of his 207 AFL games.
The 33-year-old played 27 games for the club between 2005 and 2010.
"I'm really excited about the opportunity to work with all the players and staff and look forward to building strong relationships," he said.
"I have strong connections with the club since my playing days. I really value family and community, and I look forward to adding value to the culture and standards of the club.
"I'm really looking forward to working with the coaches and staff on providing an Elite Development Program for our local talent to help them become the best people and footballers they can be."
After retiring midway through 2018, Rosa spent two years at the West Coast Eagles in a development role.
Rosa's new role will see him placed in charge of Peel's men's development and women's programs while offering guidance to coaches, support staff and players.
Peel won the WAFL women's competition this season, while the men's side is hoping to rebound from a wooden spoon finish.
MAKING NEWS ACROSS THE WIMMERA:
The club has been aligned with the Fremantle Dockers since 2014, which sees Fremantle-listed players play exclusively for Peel.
Peel CEO John Ditchburn was excited to have someone of Rosa's calibre step into the role.
"We can't wait. To have someone of Matt's calibre available and to get him to come here is going to be great for our footy and we expect him to be a great ambassador for the club as a whole," he said.
"It's going to be a large undertaking, especially from where we have come from in 2020, but we believe there is no better person and fit for our footy club going forward."
