The death of a 29 year old man in Gerang Gerung is under investigation by Victoria Police and WorkSafe following a workplace incident on Thursday.

A spokesperson said Victoria Police will prepare a report for the coroner after the man was located deceased at a private property at about 3.15pm.
"Emergency services attended an Albrecht Road address where a man, believed to be in his 20's, was found unresponsive after it appears his forklift hit power lines," the spokesperson said.

The exact cause of death is yet to be determined and Worksafe are investigating.
"It is believed the 29-year-old was preparing to remove bales from a stack when a raised bale attachment made contact with overhead power lines," a spokesperson from WorkSafe said.
The death brings the workplace fatality toll to 61 for 2020, two more than at the same time last year.
