The Horsham Cricket Association this week announced its 12-man team to take on the Grampians Cricket Association in Stawell on Sunday, December 6.
Representative teams from each league most recently faced off several years ago as part of a friendly rivalry between the two associations.
Horsham Cricket Association president Chris Hopper said it was great to resurrect the old competition.
"With no senior country week or rep cricket this year, we decided to get together for a game," he said.
"We're really looking forward to it, and I'm pretty confident it will become an annual thing between the two competitions."

Mr Hopper said he was particularly pleased with the enthusiasm from players in the HCA to be involved.
The side features the best the Wimmera has to offer, with several Victoria Country representatives, three international stars, and the most in-form cricketers in the competition.
"Hats off to the guys that have made themselves available - it's a fantastic side on pretty short notice," Mr Hopper said.
"It's probably the strongest senior rep team we've fielded in years."
Leading the way as joint captains will be West Wimmera all-rounder Nathan Alexander and Noradjuha-Toolondo's Matt Combe.
Combe said it was an exciting opportunity to play high-quality cricket alongside a diverse group of players.
"It's very exciting. I'm really looking forward to playing with a lot of these guys, rather than against them," he said.
"To get to know those guys from other clubs, form some friendships and also learn a bit about how they think about cricket, it's a great initiative."
The Horsham Cricket Association claimed victory when the two sides last met in 2017.
Combe said while it was a friendly competition, his side would be striving for victory in the contest.
"You're not going to be playing a much higher standard of cricket, so I reckon it's going to get pretty competitive," he said.
