The grass fire, north of Rupanyup on Barkers Road has now been listed as under control.
Country Fire Authority advise crews are likely to be in the area for some time.
UPDATE - 3pm: The fire has been listed under control.
The advice message has not been updated and remains the same as at 2.08pm.
EARLIER - 2.10pm: EMERGENCY Services are on the scene of a grass fire, north of Rupyanup on Barkers Road.
The fire is listed as not yet under control, with 14 vehicles in attendance.
The grass fire is travelling through paddocks and has burnt around 100 acres and crews and aircraft are working in the area.
Brigades at the scene include Rupanyup, Minyip, Murtoa, Marnoo, Coromby, Lubeck, Callawadda, Jung, Glenorchy and Dooen.

The Country Fire Authority issued the following advice warning;
There is currently no threat to you, but you should stay informed and monitor conditions.
What you should do:
- Keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond.
- Review your fire survival plan.
- If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Find information on protecting yourself and your family: www.cfa.vic.gov.au/plan-prepare/grassfires-rural/.
