KANNAMAROO Festival got off to a lively start at the Horsham Showgrounds on Saturday.
Families and friends flocked to the grounds for rides, ice-cold drinks, and carnival food, as temperatures cooler than expected greeted the region.
The festival had initially planned to run rides from 10am to 2pm, before stopping in the middle of the day due to a forecast of nearly 40 degrees.
However, cloud cover on Saturday kept things cool, and organisers decided the rides would run all day, until 8pm on Saturday night.
Sessions will run again on Sunday from 10am to 5pm, before a "pyromusical fireworks display" will cap the weekend off on Sunday night at 9pm.
