A Heritage Victoria grant has helped restore Yurunga Homestead's northern veranda, which had been in disrepair and closed from public access since 2019.

During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, crews restored the veranda, with the property reopening on November 15.
The Rainbow landmark is available for visitors to enjoy, with a tour offered by the heritage listed homestead now able to capture the entire property.

Hindmarsh Shire mayor Ron Ismay thanked Heritage Victoria for their support.
"It's great to see the homestead welcoming visitors again and we thank Heritage Victoria for their support in the much needed restoration work," Cr Ismay said.
Yurunga Homestead is open on Sundays from 2pm to 4pm, or by appointment.
