An art installation and mural are set to liven up the Jos Lane thoroughfare on Firebrace street this month.
Horsham City Council has engaged Grampians-based artist Stacey Rees to paint the piece, which she said aims to capture the natural character of the Wimmera region.
"Most people who live and work in and around Horsham have strong connections to the surrounding Wimmera landscapes and will hopefully associate with that mural, as it could very well remind them of a special place in the region that they too can identify with," she said.
Ms Rees' artwork was chosen by the Public Art Advisory Committee from a public expression of interest process earlier this year.
The artist will work after hours and weekends through December, hoping to complete the mural by Christmas.
