A Warracknabeal District Hospital volunteer has been presented with the inaugural Rural Northwest Health Excellence award at the group's annual general meeting on Tuesday.
Mrs Jill Muller was commended for her 36 years of voluntary service with the Ladies Auxiliary of Warracknabeal District Hospital and the Auxiliary of Northwest Health.
Board director Carolyn Morcom presented Mrs Muller the award, and said Mrs Muller always volunteered and worked with the best interest of the residents, consumers and patients at the forefront.
"We would all like to wish Jill the very best as she continues to remain a dedicated, caring and valuable member of the Rural Northwest Health Auxiliary," Mrs Morcom said.
"We thank her so very much for her time and effort over these past 36 years, and we wish her many more healthy, happy years ahead, so that Jill can continue to enjoy her life and the things she loves the best."
Mrs Morcom said Jill helped in many of the groups community events, such as the Debutante ball and Christmas raffles.
The annual meeting also featured a guest speech from Hanna Butuyutu about community nursing in Germany at the start of the COVID pandemic.
