A fire started early on Friday morning continues to burn at a Dooen waste management facility.
A Country Fire Authority District 17 spokesperson said the fire started at approximately 1.40am on Friday.
They said the fire had been contained.
CFA and Horsham Rural City Council crews were working to extinguish the fire at midday on Friday.
"It's expected to take some time to extinguish because of the nature of the fire," the CFA spokesperson said.
There is a smoke and advice warning in place for the surrounding communities.
As the Christmas and holiday period nears, CFA has also urged Victorians to monitor emergency warnings across the country.
