Community manager Barb Cavanagh said they have spent the last few weeks collecting food items to donate to Horsham's Emergency Food Bank.

Ms Cavanagh said it's important to be thinking about others this time of year.

"Each year we do something for others through Ingenia Gardens. The residents also feel good being able to give back," she said.

"We decided again, to donate to the Emergency Food Bank of Horsham, given the unprecedented year we've all had," she said.

"We've got three large laundry baskets. It's still a great result given a lot of our residents are on aged care pensions, it's a really great effort."

The food hamper will be presented to Bev Miatke from the Emergency Food Bank of Horsham on Wednesday, December 23 during Ingenia Gardens Christmas lunch.

"People are still struggling," Ms Cavanagh said.

"We're happy to be able to donate and to help someone in need who may be worse off than we are."
