The Horsham College student hoped to get over 90 so was pleased with her efforts when she achieved an ATAR of 93.00 - crowning her dux of the school for 2020.
Checking the score straight away, Ms Oman said she definitely wasn't as nervous about her score as she was about exams.
"By then I had had a break and I was just ready to deal with the outcome whatever that was," she said.
"I was certainly excited to get what I wanted."
Ms Oman wants to study nursing at Monash - but will take a gap year before undergoing studies.
"Hopefully that leads to midwifery as a post-graduate degree," she said.

"I really like science and keen to do something in the health field or science in general.
"I really love nursing and midwifery because of the hands-on nature of the jobs and being able to care for people in that way.
"I don't really want to sit in an office for work all day. I want to be able to interact with people."
For the next 12 months, Ms Oman will undergo an internship at Camp Coolamatong in Gippsland.
Ms Oman said during the first round of remote learning during 2020 she went "ok".
"It was nice to have a break from life and the crazy business that it becomes," she said. "But by the time the second remote learning block came around I wasn't expecting it. It was a shock to the system.

"Just realising you are at home for six weeks again. I didn't cope as well that time around but got through it in the end.
"It was really nice to go back to school for that short period at the end part. You realise what school means when you are forced not to go."
Ms Oman's subject scores were evenly balanced with performing the best in English and Maths Methods while also studying Spanish, Specialist Maths and Chemistry in 2020, in year 11 Maths Methods and in year 10 Psychology.
Ms Oman said her teachers had been a "big help" to her throughout the year.
"Without them, I wouldn't have been able to get through it," she said.
"I also need to thank the support network at school and my family. They all certainly kept me on track."
