The club nominated to host the event through Tennis Victoria.
Club president Hailey Yorke said it was a fantastic opportunity for the club and the region to showcase the Wimmera.
"We're obviously very passionate about tennis and growing our club," she said.
"We decided to put in for the tournament in the hope we could secure the event and attract some players from around Victoria to come to the Wimmera."

The 2021 championships saw more than 280 players enter, with a number of parents and supporters also attending the event.
"We would hope to get the same numbers and would be delighted if we could get even more," Yorke said. "It's a great tourism opportunity and those kinds of visitor numbers into town would definitely have some economic boost to the region. People will need to eat out and of course stay somewhere. I'm sure many of those businesses have struggled during covid so hopefully, in some way, this can give them a little boost."
Yorke said she hoped the boost in visitor numbers would also support the sponsors of the club.
"Our club is really proud that we can help out our sponsors in some way - sponsors who have supported us throughout the years," she said. "It's an opportunity to give back to the town who supports us."
Yorke said the Wimmera players were excited to have players from other regions who they have met over the years come and visit them in their hometown.
OTHER NEWS:
"We're very passionate about our sport and we're looking forward to having the best players from regional areas across the state come and play in our town," she said.
"Hopefully we might have a little hometown advantage - who knows?"
Yorke said she hoped the wider community would support the club and were welcome to come down and watch some "great tennis" being played.
"It's an opportunity for spectators to come down and watch that next level of competition and really get behind some Wimmera talent," she said.
"With the interest it has already picked up since the announcement of us hosting, we're hoping it leads to more people wanting to come along and play tennis."
