The combined intake of grain across harvest has totaled 13 million tonnes, eclipsing the 12.6 million tonnes of winter crop retrievals delivered to GrainCorp during the last bumper crop in 2016-17.
GrainCorp's Wimmera area manager Gerard Bibby said conditions created a strong winter crop season.
"The Wimmera has had a very strong season, having clocked over 770,000 tonnes with a little more to go. Wheat, canola and barley yields have all been above average," Mr Bibby said.

"Canola, in particular, yielded exceptionally well. We heard of growers achieving between three to four tonnes per hectare yields."
Natimuk recorded its best harvest season totaling 101,000 tonnes, breaking the previous record of 91,000 tonnes in the 2012-13 harvest.
Mr Bibby said growers in the Wimmera are very optimistic about future crop seasons.
"While there have been a few delays with rain and cooler weather, growers in the Wimmera are overwhelmingly positive," Mr Bibby said.
"For many, this is their fifth year in a row of having a strong winter crop.
"We want to thank every grower who has worked with us across another successful harvest and a big thank you to all of our local staff who managed a busy season vey well."
Record seasons were announced elsewhere across Victoria and New South Wales.
MORE NEWS:
GrainCorp said more than 60 sites across the two states recorded their highest ever total receivals of wheat, barley and canola.
GrainCorp General manager of operations Nigel Lotz said this harvest was a very welcome turnaround for many farming communities.
"After several years of drought, it's fantastic that growers have had a successful season of production, especially across New South Wales and Victoria," Mr Lotz said.
"We've seen and felt the effects of drought on many rural communities, some of which are still ongoing, so the change in conditions last year brought such a positive end to 2020 for many of them.
"For GrainCorp, several sites have gone from bust to boom. Not only are they full to the brim, but we added additional bunker storage to many of them to manage the bumper crop."
