Players had the honour of representing their league over the summer holidays. The under 13 boys team travelled to Portland where they were supported with a large crowd on the sidelines. In round one, players remained steady - putting a total of 108 on the board for Warrnambool Gold to chase.
Some partnerships from the opposition were too hard to crack and the boys went down by 19 runs. Tobey Anson top-scored in round two when Horsham Cricket Association were able to claim its first win of the campaign, 23 not out.
OTHER NEWS:
Players and parents had a well-earned rest for the bye in round three.
As round four played out HCA struggled to get a partnership going with the batting after they won the toss and opted to bat first. Finishing 4-76 the players had to dig deep with the ball to hopefully catch South West Gold out for a small score.
Slowing down the competition, HCA put in a mighty team effort with wickets all round to the bowlers. Unfortunately, the team went down by 15 runs.
