THE CAP on gatherings at Victorian homes will increase to 30 people, Premier Daniel Andrews has announced.

The change takes effect from 11:59pm on Friday. The restrictions currently allow for up to 15 visitors to the home.
It comes as Victoria records its 16th day without community transmission.
Mr Andrews urged Victorians to remain vigilant.
"Any event, whether it's at your home, whether it's out at a venue, needs to be COVID safe. We've got to all of us take these things seriously," he said.

The premier also announced changes to red and orange zones in New South Wales and Queensland, enabling more Victorians interstate to return home.
All but one of the local government areas in greater Sydney that are "red zones" will turn orange from 6pm today.
The newly orange zones will include Blacktown City, Burwood, Canada Bay City, Canterbury-Bankstown, Fairfield City, Inner West, Liverpool City, Parramatta City and Strathfield municipality.
Cumberland will be the only local government area in New South Wales that remains a "red zone".
Most of the orange zones in regional New South Wales will turn green from 6pm on Friday, except for the Blue Mountains and Wollongong. Greater Sydney will remain an orange zone.
All of greater Brisbane will be rezoned green from 6pm on Friday.
People returning from orange zones will need to get a COVID-19 test within 72 hours of arriving in Victoria and will need to isolate pending a negative result. They will need to apply for a permit to enter the state.
