The resurfacing works will occur between 6pm - 7am from Monday, February 8 to Monday, March 1, on the stretch of road between Derry Parade and Wimmera River Bridge.
Member for Western Victoria, Jaala Pulford, said the $1.6 million project will target a section of the highway used by over 18,000 vehicles a day.
"This work will ensure that the Western Highway can continue to serve as one of our state's most productive trade routes and as an important connection for regional communities," Ms Pulford said.

"We are investing $72 million into this season's road maintenance blitz across western Victoria, which will help us rebuild, repair and resurface more than 360 kilometres of road across the region."
All lanes on one side of the Western Highway will be closed during the nightworks, with North and southbound directed through the works by traffic controllers.
Motorists are urged to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel if using the Western Highway during work hours.
