After months of planning, the Blue Ribbon Foundation Horsham Branch's Commissioner's Gala was cancelled just 24 hours before the event.

Branch's secretary Kelly Schilling said the response was very sympathetic after the announcement.
"It was so disappointing. We were all looking to the event," she said.

"We had everything ready to go."
Ms Schilling said it would be relatively smooth sailing to rebook the sold-out event - hopefully sometime in March.

"We have to tee it up with Horsham Golf Club," she said.
"All our auction sponsors and gold and silver major sponsors are still happy to go forward with sponsorship and donations.
"We will keep people up to date as we get more information."
One family wanted to rally their support and have an at-home Gala dinner.

Brendan and Vanessa O'Laughlin dressed up in their finest, along with their sons and the family dog to have their own dinner gala during the lockdown.
Ms Schilling is keeping positive about the snap lockdown.
"You've got to do what you need to," she said.
