It wasn't quite cricket weather, but the Horsham Cricket Association's next generation of stars didn't care, taking to the field for a hotly-contest intraclub under-14 grand final.
Homers Blue and Homers White were made to wait a little longer after the start of play was postponed due to morning showers.
Homers Blue quickly made up for lost time, thanks to Gibson Perry (20) and Max Bunworth (25).
Archie Elliot also reached the magic 20 mark.
Wickets were shared among the Horsham White bowlers, with William Hobbs (1-9) and Jackson Gabbe (1-12) starring with the ball in hand.
Chasing 117, Jackson Hoffmann (11) and James Officer (10) got Horsham White off to a strong start.
From there Blue's bowlers were able to wrestle back momentum, led by Chase Kannar (1-4) and Jack McAuliffe (1-3).
In the end Blue proved too strong; White finishing 37 runs short.
