The event saw 46 starters from across Australia converge on Rainbow, with only 16 making it through to the end.
Father-son duo Greg and Max Gartner of car 410 took home the win, launching over a jump at the finish line to secure their victory.
Greg Gartner said he was pleased with the win.
"After 12 months out of the seat we headed to the Rainbow Rises 240 on the weekend mainly to test and tune the truck," he said.
"After having throttle problems we kept trying different things which got us to the end of the race with an overall win. Thanks to all that helped with the race, which was a great event."
The Gartner's won the event outright, 5 minutes and 38 seconds ahead of second-placed Jason Noonan and Sam Sapuppo in number 23, and third-placed Alan Dixon and Aaron Evans in number 153.
The Rainbow Rises 240 event formed round one of the 2021 Victorian Off-road Championship, round one of the 2021 Victorian Off-Road Club Shield, and round one of the 2021 VORRA Club Championship.
The race took place on the 8.7 kilometre prologue track at the GrainCorp site at Bow Hill, a kilometre west of Rainbow.
VORRA President Tony Carabott said the event saw 350 spectators through the gates.
"The event was a huge success, thanks to lots of planning and hard work from the VORRA committee, the Rainbow Town committee, the local community and many volunteers," he said.
"We had a strong field of 46 cars, from three different states, the conditions were tough and dusty. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in August for the Rainbow Desert Enduro."
