Pimpinio's coach first stepped up to the helm in July 2019 and is yet to be sideline for a game.
The Tigers hit the track hard in Walsh's first pre-season for no reward.
Fastforward a year - and a global pandemic - and the group is finally ready to test its might.
"There's a good feeling out on the track at the moment," Walsh said.
"We've got a really good group of young blokes. We've recruited in that 19-25 age bracket.
"After having a year off we're pretty excited to get back into it."
Pimipino has been able to retain a majority of its list, while also welcoming players from Longerenong College and outside the region.
OTHER NEWS:
Walsh believed the abandoned season offered many clubs a clean slate.
"A year off is obviously going to have some sort of impact," he said.
"Your good sides will probably hit the ground running but I think it's going to be a more even year.
"A lot of people wouldn't really do much over a summer anyway, once the season has finished. So that's one thing we tried to do.
"We started early to get some running in the legs early before Christmas and kicked on again in January."
The Tigers have the unenviable task of taking on Harrow-Balmoral to open the season.
"We'll definitely find out where we are, which is not a bad thing," he said.
MORE NEWS:
"It's a great challenge for our group. We're really young, so I think it will be good to come up against a team like them first up and find out what we're doing right and what we need to work on."
Developing its up-and-coming junior players will be a significant focus for Pimpinio in its A Grade season.
A Grade coach Renee Clarkson said the Tigers have a raft of youngsters coming up through all four grades who will look at the clubs veteran players for leadership and support.
"We have some really handy juniors coming up through our ranks who have won premierships over the last couple of years," Clarkson said.
"We're just trying to utilise and further develop their skills and draw on their fitness and speed. They will be balanced with our experienced older netballers."
MORE HDFNL FOCUS:
Tahlia Thompson and Eve Thomas are some of the star juniors the club has retained, whilst seasoned Tigers such as Maggie Clough and Anna Habel, will join them on the court.
They have also picked up the versatile Jayde Ellis from the Horsham Demons, who also doubles as a respected umpire.
The Tigers have lost some critical A-Graders in Kelsey Hamilton (moved to Echuca), Janelle Baker (Geelong), and Erin Habel (studying).
However Clarkson is hopeful the latter two can fill in during the season.
Clarkson said the side aims to be "more competitive" after a brutal 2019 campaign where it had some "losses by significant margins".
