Laharum, didn't go through unscathed but the year allowed the group to reset after a year of unrest in 2019 with a coaching change mid-way through the season.

Dual premiership player Shannon Argall will take on the role of coach of the Mountain Men for the upcoming season after first being appointed at the end of 2019. Alongside him will be his assistant, Hamish Roberts who said a lot of players were eager to get the season underway.

"There are some players who might have been a bit casual in their approach to football in previous years but have missed it so much and you could also say the year off has rejuvenated them," he said.

Roberts said Crawford, who coached for the second half of the 2019 season has been named captain for the season.

"He's a natural leader and we think he'll do really well this season," he said.

"He's looking really good for a big year. He's a leader of the club - it doesn't matter what role, official or not, he is someone others look up to."

Laharum has recruited a number of players including Zac Price, Pat Eason - two past premiership mid-fielders.

Jarrod Kemp has jumped on board as well as Paddy Darcy, Ambrose Launder and seven to eight juniors stepping into the senior ranks.

Roberts said with Argall back at the helm, it has generated enthusiasm and excitement around the club for some time now.

"He's a quality coach and has a proven track record and not to mention a gun player," he said.

"He's bought professionalism and standards and very clear on what he expects on from every individual player and what our game plan is.

"We want to return to a hard and fast game plan that we're well drilled at and know well. We're going to invest in our youth."
