The youth council worked for several months to make safety slogans to boost road safety awareness during long weekends and public holidays throughout the shire.
The clever slogans have been placed on banners that can be easily put up and back down.
Youth officer Justin Knorpp said his favourite sign slogan was "put down the phone or end up alone."
IN OTHER NEWS:
"The kids came up with the slogans and we narrowed it down to half a dozen slogans to be printed for the signs," he said.
Mr Knorpp said it's essential to have people aware of road safety and get young people involved early to start good driving habits.
"There is, unfortunately, fatalities on the roads, if people obeyed the road rules a bit more and paid attention it would make a difference," he said.
"There is nothing worse than someone getting a call saying a loved one has been in an accident.
"Getting the youth council involved, we can hopefully reach younger people who are starting to learn how to drive, and they can develop these good habits and carry them throughout their lives.
"But we also want to hit a nerve with the older drivers."
Mr Knorpp said the response over the Easter weekend was great.
"People thought it was a great idea. The social media post reached over 2000 people. It was shared around a lot," he said.
Mr Knorpp said the slogans up for the ANZAC day weekend.
"Hopefully it will remind people on the roads to get to their destination safely and be able to get home."
The signs are found in Hopetoun, Warracknabeal, Rupanyup and Murtoa.
