Kalkee coach Stuart Farr was pleased with the win, describing the side as "a bit scratchy" over the first couple of weeks.
"Apart from the third-quarter I thought we were reasonably consistent so that's good moving forward," Farr said.
Farr was impressed with how his side was able to move the ball.
"I was happy with how we shared the footy and moved it at pretty good pace that's obviously our aim we're a pretty short side, so yeah it's pleasing," he said.

Farr said Simon Hobbs and Pat Purcell were standouts through the middle, while Deek Roberts contributed with seven goals.
While the side is looking confident with three wins straight for the year, Farr believes there is always room for improvement.
"Our accountability at times is still a little bit off," he said.
In the other matches Rupanyup continued their winning form, winning a tight contest against Swifts by 22-points.
The Swifts managed to rally in the third and narrowed the margin to 17, however a two goal final-quarter for the Panthers was enough to give them the points.
Star recruit Shannon Rioli was impressive up front for the Panthers with three goals, while Paul Trotter was named as the side's best player.
For the Swifts, Scott Carey and Zachary Armer impressed, while Matthew Healy booted three goals of his own.

Over at Taylors Lake, Laharum overcame the Lakers by 17-points in wet and blustery conditions.
The Demons will hope to build on their first win of the season next week against Kalkee.
Jeparit-Rainbow flexed their muscle at home, defeating the previously unbeaten Edenhope-Apsley by 55-points.
For the Storm Jay Kirkwood kicked seven goals and was also named as the side's best.
The Storm now have two wins for the season and will face a stern test next week against Harrow-Balmoral who also had a good win.
The reigning premiers bounced back from their loss to Rupanyup, accounting for competition newcomers Kaniva-Leeor United.by 44-points.
James Staude kicked five for Harrow-Balmoral, while Matthew Jones was their best player.
As the cool of the night set in Natimuk United and Noradjuha-Quantong battled for the inaugural Araplies Cup ANZAC memorial match honours.
In a low-scoring match, it was Noradjuha-Quantong who pulled ahead in the third quarter and kicking three goals to one.
Noradjuha-Quantong walked away with a 41-point win - 9.10 (64) to 3.5 (23).
In the last, Natimuk couldn't find the middle of the two big sticks and to claw back the margin.
