In Hindmarsh Shire $500,000 has gone towards upgrading and sealing a 5.2km stretch of Antwerp - Woorak Road and $200,000 to widen an S bend on Rainbow - Nhill Road.
Minister for Agriculture Mary-Anne Thomas announced the scheme and said the funding would help producers grow their businesses.
"Improving the roads and infrastructure used by farmers and producers will help them grow their businesses by reaching more customers more quickly, contributing to the overall growth of the sector," she said.
"This investment in local road upgrades will get more people back to work on projects that benefit all road users, particularly farmers and producers, who need to travel long distances to connect with customers and markets."
