The Eagles host ladder-leaders Horsham Demons at ANZAC Park in what looms as an exciting contest between two top teams.
"It'll be a tight tussle I imagine," Werner said.
"A win would be fantastic."
Werner has played with the Eagles since she was a junior, and her milestone this weekend represents an unwavering bond between player and club.
"I've really enjoyed being around the people that I've played with," Werner said.
"I'm a pretty competitive person and we've always had a strong team, or a really competitive team.
"The people that I've played with, like Sarah Spicer, those girls, they've always been around so I always enjoy their company. That's probably why I've stuck with them."

Among those 249 games, Werner has many highlights and accolades that stand out to her.
"I've played in a few losing premierships and I've played in some winning premierships, so probably the winning ones (stand out)," she said.
"When we won against Horsham, whatever year it was, when we won by a goal, that was pretty crazy. Personally, a couple of years ago, I got third in the Heather Hatcher, that was probably a highlight for me.
"(The) little things and then just being able to play every week, that's pretty much a highlight; I'm getting older."
Werner has taken on more leadership roles at the club as her career has progressed but admits her priorities have changed as her circumstances have changed.
"I have a family and my husband and I have an electrical business, so look I probably have stepped back, but I'm sure once my boys grow up, it might not be the case," Werner said.
"I don't have any daughters so I might be more into the football side.
"I'm just focusing on other things at the moment."

With 250 games under her belt and nothing left to prove on the netball court, some might ponder retirement; however, that's not the case for Werner and her competitive nature.
"Jane Richardson and Leigh-Anne Bibby, they've got 300 games, so the joke between Sarah Spicer and myself, because Sarah comes up to her 250th in a couple of weeks, is that we are gonna try and beat them," Werner said.
"I don't know as I get older it seems like wow, that's a really mean feat, so look I'll try but we'll see how we go."
Before Werner finishes up, whenever that may be, she would love for more success and to pass on some of her wisdom.
"I'd love to get another premiership, that would be very nice," she said.
"Just to have fun ... if there's an opportunity to help train up younger goalies..."
