Forest Fire Management Victoria announced planned burns to be carried out on Wednesday, May 12, Thursday, May 13 and Friday, May 14, weather and fuel moisture conditions permitting.

There are three locations. Two at Little Desert, the Eagle Swamp Track and East West Track.
Grampians National Park will have one planned burn site at Pohlners Road, covering about 550ha.
A FFM spokesperson said the objective of these burns is to provide bushfire protection by reducing overall fuel hazard and bushfire hazard in the landscape.

The burns are expected to be completed during 10am to 6pm over the course of the three days.
Smoke may be visible from the Grampians National Park and Little Desert National Park
