The panthers triumphed by 41-points in the end in a classy showing in front of their past players.

Rupanyup coach Jack Musgrove was pleased with what was "a pretty good win on the home deck".

"It was a pretty big day for the club with the past players," he said.

"They were a very good side, we just got the jump on them early."

The coach said it was a "good all-round effort", however after quarter time his side "lapsed a little bit".

According to Musgrove the side's got the upper hand in the midfield early which played a big part in the result.

"It was really good to see, with a couple of big bodies in there throughout the day," he said.

For the Panthers Elliott Kelly and Mitch Gleeson were dominant all day, while for the Kees, who Musgrove admitted had a few out, Benjamin Lawson was most impressive.

In another headline clash, first-placed Noradjuha-Quantong beat fifth-placed Harrow-Balmoral by one-point in an absolute thriller.

The Roos came ever so close to handing Noradjuha-Quantong their first loss, however the Bombers just scraped home in the end.

James Staude was at his goalscoring best for the Roos, snagging seven majors, while William Burbury was named as their best.

The win sets up an exciting top-two clash for next week, with the Bombers set to take on the Panthers.

At home Natimuk United had a mammoth win against Edenhope-Apsley, cruising to a 93-point victory.

Both sides sat next to each other on the ladder and both were coming off big losses, however it was the Rams who stood up.

For the Rams Nathan Koenig filled his boots with 12 goals of his own, while for Edenhope-Apsley George Walker kicked four majors.

At home Jeparit-Rainbow bounced back from their big loss last weekend, defeating Kaniva Leeor by 75-points.

Continuing the trend of kicking bags of goals, the Storm's Benjamin Warren added 11 to his tally.

Hamish Bennett was the star for Kaniva Leeor, who will look to put the result out of their mind come next week when they face Pimpinio.

In Pimpinio, the Tigers fought hard but ultimately lost by 20-points to Laharum.

The winless tigers will take a lot out of the game after only trailing by 9-points at three quarter time.

Tom Crawford was the Demons' best, while Nathan Clough was good for the Tigers.

Last but not least, at Dock Lake Reserve the Swifts had a 38-point win against the Lakers.
