A Victoria police spokesperson said a Camperdown man was questioned this morning for his role in the siege.
Police were called to a Wilson Street address at 6.15pm after receiving reports of a man behaving erratically.
The spokesperson for Victoria Police said the man initially refused to talk to police.
"Family members of the man managed to leave the premises before he armed himself with a firearm and allegedly fired a shot into the air," the spokesperson said.
Police negotiated with the 44-year-old man before arresting him at the scene before 9am this morning.
More to come.
