Jeparit-Rainbow welcomed Swifts, after three weeks off, and tested the travelling side.
Storm was slow to start, finding their feet after a few weeks off the courts.
Georgia Batson and Breanna Eastick were a force to be reckoned with throughout the game and started building their momentum late in the first.
In the second quarter, Storm stepped up the competition a notch outscoring the Swifts 16-10.
Storm coach Jo Perkins said she was extremely happy with the team getting back onto the "winner's board".

"We've had a couple of slow weeks so definitely happy to get the win today (Saturday)," she said.
"Over the past few weeks when we could get back to training we went back to basics.
"We tried to gather as a playing group and enjoy each other's company. We just started again and tried to come in fresh."
During the third quarter, the Baggies weren't able to stop the surge from the home team who managed to extend their four-point lead to six.

It was the last when the Storm really put the game to rest - Eastick couldn't miss and put 16 goals to her name.
The final score 60-47.
"I gave best on to Bree (Eastick) however she was very well supported right across the court," Perkins said.
"The message at three-quarter time was to finish out the game strong and keep talking to one another.
"I challenged the girls to keep fighting out the game and keep backing each other up.
"We'll take some things away from the game and one of those is our passing. We were a bit rusty early and we'll start working on that at training.
"The player's fight and determination today was exceptional."
Natimuk United threatened but ultimately failed to end Laharum's unbeaten streak, with the latter winning 48-29.
At halftime, Natimuk trailed by just four goals but Laharum eventually finished with a comfortable 19-goal lead.
The margin is nevertheless the closest any side has come to defeating Laharum since Noradjuha-Quantong in round two.
Kaniva Leeor United defeated Pimpinio 74-28 to remain just four points off Laharum.
Pimpinio is still searching for their first win of the season, yet still have two points due to a draw against Rupanyup in round five.
Kalkee registered a similarly emphatic victory over Edenhope-Apsley, winning 61-23.
The win is Kalkee's third in a row, with Swifts their opposition in round eight.
Noradjuha-Quantong dispatched Rupanyup 63-18.
The match was initially quite a close-fought contest, with Noradjuha-Quantong only taking a 3-goal lead in the first quarter.
However, Noradjuha-Quantong were rampant in the final quarter, scoring 24 goals, which was more than they netted in the entire first half.
