In the end it was an eight-goal-to-zero fourth quarter by the Burras that proved the difference against the Giants, who led by two-points at the final change and looked a good chance of taking home the win.
The Giants fought gallantly all day, but in the end the 2019 premiers' class shone through, running over the top of their opponents in the final term.
Coach John Delahunty back playing his first game from injury was extremely happy with the result.

"Wins like that, they're the feelings that you love about football," he said.
"It was another tough old Burras' Giants' game.
"We managed to break it open in that last quarter."
Asked what changed from his side between the three quarter time break and the start of the fourth quarter, Delahunty said he wasn't quite sure.
"We just changed the personnel a bit," he said.
"They were beating us in the middle that's for sure and enough in that last quarter. We just needed to handle the footy cleaner and we got in some guys that we knew could do that. One of our strengths is just the flexibility."
Delahunty was full of praise for his players as well as the opposition who he said "brought the pressure".
Special mention went to Oscar Gawith who in his first senior game at just sixteen-years-old kicked a goal and "didn't put a foot wrong".
"That goal he kicked through the middle was one for the highlights reels," Delahunty said.
Brayden Ison continued his rich vein of goalkicking form kicking 5 majors for the Burras, while 2008 Hawthorn premiership player Clinton Young chimed in with two of his own in his first senior game for the club since 2016.
Nicholas Kelson also stood out with a best on ground performance for the Victors.
For the Giants Nicholas Dinham was lethal in front of the sticks kicking four goals while Tyler Lehmann was named as their best player.
To City Oval and the Horsham Demons' bounced back from last week's narrow loss to the Saints to record a convincing 43-point win over Ararat.
Somewhat inaccurate kicking (9.10) hurt the Rats against a Demons' side who rarely missed (17.5).
Rhona Conboy bagged five goals for the home team, while young gun Jett Hopper snagged two of his own.

Brodie Mines was named the Demons best while for Ararat Baydn Cosgriff shone.
At home Dimboola managed to break a string of losses with a 57-point win against Nhill, which does their finals' chances a world of good.
Haydn Walters and Dylan Tarczon kicked four goals apiece for the Roos while Matthew Rosier continued a stellar season being named their best.
For the Tigers Frazer Driscoll and Drew Schneider impressed.
In the final football match Stawell flexed their muscles against Warrack in a 76-point crushing.
The Eagles got off to a good start and only trailed the Warriors by three-points at quarter time when scores were 23 to 26.
Unfortunately for the Eagles they didn't get any closer to Stawell and only kicked another four goals for the match, while the Warriors piled on 15.
Captain Thomas Eckel was at his influential best for the Warriors while for Warrack playing-coach Daniel Bell stood out.
