Rural Northwest Health have farewelled Carolyn Morcom and Janette McCabe after nine years of service on the board.

Mrs Morcom joined the Rural Northwest Health board in July 2012 and has been a dedicated board director, contributing in and out of meetings.
She chaired the Hopetoun Beulah Reference Group for eight years, using her role as chair to be an exceptional advocate for our northern communities.
Mrs Morcom's achievements include being the board representative responsible for the Community Action Research Group, which facilitated award winning community engagement research with La Trobe Rural Health School.

She shared her skills in community service generously and was a valued voice for patients and consumers.
Mrs McCabe also joined the board in July 2012 and has served in the positions of Vice Chairperson and Chairperson of Clinical Governance.
As a former practicing clinician, she championed quality and safety principles for Rural Northwest Health.
Mrs McCabe used her AICD training and former managerial skills to promote putting our people and culture, and the service at front of mind.
She also represented rural health services as a board member of the Victorian Healthcare Association.
Rural Northwest Health chairperson Julia Hausler officially thanked Mrs Morcom and Mrs Morcom for their time and commitment to their roles on the board, acknowledging their outstanding contribution to not only Rural Northwest Health but also the community in general.
The health board thanked outgoing board director Hugh Molenaar, who served a three year term and used his accounting skills and training to chair the Finance and Audit committee.
