The couple held one of the two division-winning entries nationally in Monday and Wednesday night's draw.

The lucky pair said they were struggling to comprehend the news.

"We were so doubtful. This kind of thing doesn't happen to people like us, are you sure?" the wife said.

"This morning I got out of bed and checked my ticket straight away. I was half asleep, so I couldn't see the screen properly, but then I noticed all six numbers were lit up.

"I went and got my husband and he said 'no way, that can't be right'.

"It is a shot in the arm. We couldn't think of better time to win."

The couple said they had already done some online house browsing and were looking forward to a sea change.

"We are both going to retire from work. We have been dreaming about this moment," the husband said.

"Then we are going to move and buy a place right on the beach. We want to be beach bums. We've already been online house shopping this morning and have picked out a few we'd like to look at.

"We've won at the best time because this means we can have a fantastic retirement."

The winning numbers in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 4111 on Wednesday, September 8 2021 were 6, 26, 38, 5, 40 and 23, while the supplementary numbers were 13 and 16.
