VICTORIA's daily COVID-19 cases have risen over 400 for the first time since August 2020.
Department of Health data released on Saturday showed Victoria recorded 450 new coronavirus cases on Friday.
Of the 450 local cases, 75 have so far been linked to known cases and outbreaks. Further case information will be provided on Saturday.
It takes the state's active case tally to 2793.
There were also 39,148 coronavirus vaccinations administered and 42,765 test results received.
The new case numbers come as Daylesford reacts to a COVID-19 case.
A Daylesford medical centre has been listed as a tier one exposure site on the Department of Health website.
People who visited Springs Medical on Hospital Street between 3.15pm and 4.30pm on September 8 should immediately get tested and isolate for 14 days.
Cliffy's Emporium on Raglan Street has also been listed as a tier one site after an infected person attended the venue between 3.20pm and 8.45pm on September 7.
Pancho Café on Vincent Street has been listed as a tier two site.
Anyone who visited the Daylesford café between 10.20am and 11am on September 8 should get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.

Northern District Community Health also reported that a coronavirus case had been confirmed in Cohuna.
The COVID-19 case acquired the infection from outside the regional town and was isolating, the health service reported.
There will be coronavirus testing in Cohuna from 10am on Saturday at Northern District Community Health.
This weekend will also see double the number of Public Transport Authorised Officers on Victoria's public transport network.
The officers will monitor stations and V/Line services, while Victoria Police will have 200 officers monitoring key arterials, back roads and public transport networks to people travelling into regional Victoria are doing so lawfully.
