Final 2: Melbourne Storm v Penrith Panthers
Nine Network and 9 Now, September 25, 3pm
From Suncorp Stadium with host James Bracey and commentators - Paul Gallen, Ray Warren, Phil Gould, Billy Slater, Allana Ferguson, Darren Lockyer and Emma Lawrence. Game time 4pm.
In the quarter-finals the Bunnies outran the Panthers 16-10 and last week Parramatta really should have slipped past the Panthers but for some now questionable official rulings. And the Sea Eagles were wiped out by the Storm 40-12 in the quarters.
So my tip is the Bunnies will scamper away from the Sea Eagles and the Storm will bluster their way to the Grand Final by swamping the Panthers.
AFL Grand Final: Melbourne vs Western Bulldogs
Seven Network, September 25, Game time: 5.15pm AWST, 7.15pm AEST, and 6.45pm ACST
The game is not being played at the sacred home of the code for the first time in its history. It is at Perth Stadium, hence the time zone difference, so check the guide for air times.
On the east coast, the pre-game festivities air from 2pm-5.45pm, picking up after the news.
Fires: Premiere of 6-part Drama
ABC TV and ABC iview, September 26, 8.40pm
Inspired by true stories about the devastating Australian bushfires of 2019-2020. The footage may be distressing for some viewers as it is a close reproduction of the circumstances faced by those who survived the Black Summer fires.
Filmed in regional Victoria, each episode is based on a different community, drawn from reports of people caught in the firestorm, and the impossible choices they had to make - whether to stay and protect their property or escape to safety.
From volunteer firefighters risking everything to families who lost homes and loved ones; to those who stepped up helping friends and strangers even though their own lives were devastated.
It is a heavy-weight cast including Noni Hazelhurst, Richard Roxborough, Miranda Otto, Sam Worthington, Sullivan Stapleton, Hunter Page-Lochard, and Kate Box.
HOME AND AWAY: The Wedding of Tori and Christian
Network Seven, September 27, 7pm
It's the happy ending Home and Away fans have been waiting for a long time to see - Dr Tori Morgan (Penny McNamee) getting married.
After the torturous troubles the Morgan family have endured, from hiding from criminals, to drug addiction, a broken marriage, the death of a sibling and of baby Grace's dad, serious accidents and a broken engagement, finally Tori gets to marry her prince charming - Dr Christian Green (Kristian "Ditch" Davey).
The fairytale wedding in the garden of the Morgan home is picture perfect with Tori in an Evie Young ivory wedding dress with Aztec- inspired botanical embroidered lace appliqué over a latte coloured underlay.
Baby Grace is the gorgeous flower girl accompanied by bridesmaid Leah Patterson (Ada Nicodemou) before Tori's brother Justin (James Stewart) walks her along a white flower-strewn path to her dapper fiance.
Although hastily arranged after Tori accepts an appointment at a top London hospital, the wedding is a typical Home and Away affair.
