The Regional Health Infrastructure Fund will see a total of $584,000 shared across two health facilities in west Wimmera to update old health infrastructure.

Edenhope and District Memorial Hospital will receive more than $440,000 to replace aging network infrastructure and introduce a disaster recovery site.

Harrow Bush Nursing Centre will receive a grant of $84,000 to install a solar battery system, LED lighting and rainwater tanks, improving the facility's environmental sustainability.

The Harrow Bush Nursing Centre will also receive an additional grant of $60,000 to purchase a Volkswagen Caravelle van to increase its capacity to deliver community transport for patients.

Member for Western Victoria Jaala Pulford said the funding provided vital equipment upgrades for the region.

"Everyone deserves access to quality health care facilities and services - we are ensuring the West Wimmera Shire community has exactly that close to home," she said.
