GWMWater staff have joined in as a team and are encouraging others to sign up as well.
Teams of all fitness levels and abilities are asked to walk, run or ride for one hour a day for five days and raise funds for vital water, sanitation and hygiene projects throughout Cambodia, Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste.
GWMWater Managing Director Mark Williams said the activity enabled staff to connect with each other, particularly with many working from home, as well as raise awareness and funds for a good cause.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Not only does the event raise awareness and much needed funds for countries with limited access to clean water, it encourages our team to stay active and connect with their colleagues," Mr Williams said.
"Taking part in this challenge reminds us of the importance of our work at GWMWater, and broadens our impact to make a positive difference in countries less fortunate than ours."
All over the world some people have to walk an average of six kilometres to collect water. That's why the GWMWater team is challenging themselves to walk, run or ride for one hour a day between October,18 to 22, to raise money and help provide clean water to some of the world's poorest communities.
WaterAid's mission is to reach everyone across the world with clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene within a generation.
