The Koala Kids Foundation Toy Drive was run on Saturday, November 20 at the Horsham Angling Club.
But "oncology mum" and organiser, Ms Lee said it was more than just dropping off toys for sick children.
"We had a really, really good turnout. It was quite an emotional day for everyone," she said.
"We had a few people turn up and their family had received help in the past from Koala Kids.
"They were quite emotional telling us their stories.
"Parents would have that important conversation with their kids about how some children won't have Christmas at home because they are sick."
One man came over the to group thinking it was a birthday event, when Ms Lee explained it was a toy drive, the man went away.
"We said it was a charity event," Ms Lee said.
"He got into his car and came back with some donations to drop off,"
A total of 27 boxes were packed to the brim with gifts for the Koala Kids Foundation.
"Way more than last year," Ms Lee said.
"It was all around a really great day."
