Ahead of the Horsham Hornets Country Basketball League campaigns which begin on November 28 for the men and November 27 for the women, the Wimmera Mail-Times has done a series of Q&As with the players.
In this week's first men's Q&A get to know a bit about star Hornet Matt Lovell.
Favourite film of all time?
That's a good question, I've probably got a few. I like the Patriot.
Favourite basketballer of all time?
Lebron or Michael Jordan?
What tv show are you binging at the moment?
I just finished the Blacklist with James Spader. That spy stuff is pretty good.
What do you love about playing basketball?
I don't think there's anything in particular. I just love the game, I don't think there's actually a particular thing about the game. I like the closeness of it, even if you're on the bench you're still in the game. Whereas footy, if the ball's over the other side you're out of it. Even when you're on the bench the crowd and everything's close and it's a bit more exciting.

What's it like with a full Horsham stadium?
Unreal! We're probably, in terms of country teams we'd have the biggest following by fifty times. We go to Mount Gambier and we've got more supporters there than them. When this place is full, particularly in finals it's a great atmosphere.
Favourite Hornet of all time and why?
You could say that Owen Hughan is my favourite Hornet of all time. I couldn't pick one player, there's heaps of players that have come through and I've played with. If I was going to pick someone outside of playing then Owen would probably be the one.
I can't say Mitch Martin, it'll go to his head. Yeah we'll put Mitch.
Go to comfort food?
I'm a big fan of a good burger. Beef, chicken, whatever, as long as it's good it doesn't matter.
