My husband is in our living room googling how to fix an issue with our lawn mower.
He will pull it apart and rebuild it if he must, but he says he might only need to change the transmission oil.
This is on the same day that my spouse looked at our teens' bedrooms for me and told our daughters in some quite colourful military language that he was not impressed and expected changes.
He is my hero.
This significant other of mine even did some handiwork with the tea towel recently, although he has no idea why we have so much Tupperware and he had to fix the draw after I tried to fit too much in.
Our relationship went next level last month when Kym Grosser installed the recharge stations for my battery-operated vacuum cleaners inside a cupboard, neatly out of the way and yet easily accessible and at the ideal height.
That's my man.
I can't be sure, but it's quite possible I only fell for him when we met because he looked incredibly cute in his RAAF uniform and made me laugh.
I had no idea at the time that this spunk would be able to build me a house one day, literally, while being a hard-working entrepreneur and perfect dad for our baby girls.
On the 30th of November, 2021, we celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.
We cannot believe we put our Wimmera farming families through a wedding in the middle of harvest!
Clearly, we had been living in the city for a few years back then. He'll be on the header on our anniversary again this year, as always, contract harvesting.
Having really known so little about each other when we got married, it seems miraculous to me that we are such a great team.
Truly it is a match made in heaven, as without the bible as my handbook on life, and the love of God, I couldn't have survived the bumpy patches.
My life mate and I complement each other so perfectly though, that I'm glad we've stuck at it, so we get to share the whole journey together.
He stills stirs me up and makes me laugh.
Happy 30th Anniversary Kym!
