Ahead of the Horsham Hornets Country Basketball League campaigns which began on November 28 for the men and November 27 for the women, The Wimmera Mail-Times did a series of Q&As with the players.
In our next women's Q&A get to know a bit about experienced Hornet Caitlin Story.
Favourite film of all time?
Happy Gilmore by Adam Sandler. That's a classic, I love any Adam Sandler movie. I'm not a huge movie fan so I haven't watched some of his new stuff, but Big Daddy and all that, love it.
What tv show are you binging at the moment?
I'm not actually a huge tv person. I'm busy with sport and I'm a PE teacher at school, so since COVID everyone's got back into it and I'm not really home much.
Favourite basketballer of all time?
Lauren Jackson. She's probably been my idol since I was growing up. I've been through the Horsham Association since I was a little girl so I'm pretty proud to play for the Lady Hornets, since I started my journey when I was ten years old. Lauren Jackson's always been a great star, a great person, a great coach now, great everything.

Lebron James or Michael Jordan?
I'd probably go Michael Jordan. He's the greatest of all time. You can't really beat his stats.
On the court what do you think is your best attribute?
I'm probably the second oldest on the team at only 31. This is my fifth season with the girls so probably just knowing the way we're meant to play and providing that on-court leadership and communication.
Funniest teammate?
I'd have to say Ema Iredell, she's a classic. She didn't tell you a story about her funniest moment. A couple of years ago We were playing in a final against Colac. We were playing here and she had two foul shots. She only had to make one; she made the first one and she gave the whole Colac crowd the biggest bird and just ran straight down the other end. It was the funniest thing.
What do you love about playing basketball?
Just the comradery and sportsmanship. Just playing with your friends and playing together as a group. I'm a huge team player, I don't like individual sports. I like to play with other people and meeting new people is always good as well.
MORE NEWS:
Favourite Hornet of all time and why?
Probably Melissa McClure (now Sinfield). She was at Perth Lynx for a while in the WNBL.
Favourite comfort food?
I can't eat much to be honest. I'm gluten free and I can't have onion or garlic. All my favourite foods I used to like are no longer. I'd probably have to say, as stupid as it sounds probably bananas. I have one a day at least and a couple before sport.
