A truck fire has closed lanes on the Western Highway between Sandbar Road and Deep Lead Road, just west of Stawell on Thursday morning.

Calls for assistance started coming through at about 3.35am.
Department of transport states the Highway is closed between Sandbar Road and Deep Lead Road.
Eastbound motorists are being diverted using Stawell-Warrracknabeal Road to Wimmera Highway to Donald-Stawell Road.
Westbound motorists are being diverted using Donald-Stawell Road to Wimmera Highway to Stawell-Warracknabeal Road.
This closure is under Victoria Police control. The road will re-open when the clean up is complete and it's safe to do so.
At 5am an advice warning was issued for the area.
It stated a B-Double truck is fully involved with fire. Smoke will be visible from nearby roads and communities. You may hear small explosions from the area.
It advised the Western Highway was closed in both directions at that time. Traffic in the area will be affected. Emergency Services will remain in the area.
